Yesterday, I noticed that right now

THE HERO'S GUIDE TO SAVING YOUR KINGDOM by Christopher Healy is middle-grade, but can be read by all ages. It's delves into the antics of the Princes Charming, all of whom have actual names beyond the use of "Charming," which is all anyone else ever seems to care about. It's the first in a trilogy, and the final book comes out next month. Misty will be hosting an interview and giveaway with the author later on in FTF, so keep an eye on her blog!

I've previously reviewed THE HERO'S GUIDE TO SAVING YOUR KINGDOM, as well as featured an excerpt and story illustration. I've also interviewed series illustrator Todd Harris!

DreamWorks has picked up the series to turn into animated movies, and I keep checking IMDB to see if it's moved out of development yet. I can't wait to see how it turns out! I really hope they stay true to Todd Harris' illustration style!

Title: THE HERO'S GUIDE TO SAVING YOUR KINGDOM
Author: Christopher Healy
Release Date: Out May 01, 2012
Publisher: Walden Pond Press/HarperCollins

Prince Liam. Prince Frederic. Prince Duncan. Prince Gustav. You’ve never heard of them, have you? These are the princes who saved Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel, respectively, and yet, thanks to those lousy bards who wrote the tales, you likely know them only as Prince Charming. But all of this is about to change.

Rejected by their princesses and cast out of their castles, the princes stumble upon an evil plot that could endanger each of their kingdoms. Now it’s up to them to triumph over their various shortcomings, take on trolls, bandits, dragons, witches, and other assorted terrors, and become the heroes no one ever thought they could be.

Christopher Healy’s THE HERO'S GUIDE TO SAVING YOUR KINGDOM is a completely original take on the world of fairy tales, the truth about what happens after “happily ever after.” It’s a must-have for middle grade readers who enjoy their fantasy adventures mixed with the humor of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Witty black-and-white drawings by Todd Harris add to the fun.
